JolandaPercodan? Vicodin? Ask your pharmacist about drug allergies and cross-reactions -- they know all of that stuff and they can recommend other pain killers for you to have your doctor prescribe.
BuffyYour doctor is the one who should be advising you on the drugs you are taking. If he is not available, talk to the next best person, a registered pharmacist.
AveryIt is NOT SAFE TO TAKE tramadol if there is a warning if allergic to coedine. When you were at the pharmacy, why didn't you ask the pharmacist about this. This is the pharmacists' responsibilities as well as your doctors.Did you tell your doctors that you are allergic to coedine? You need to tell your doctors, every time before he/she writes a prescription, because the doctors cannot remember everything.
GeriI am allergic to coedine also, but have taken tramadol without any ill side affects. I would talk to Pharamacists about this today. But in my experience, did me good, not bad.You should talk to Dr. too. It all depends on what you were allergic too. IE, allergic to Tylenol 3 and cough meds w/ codiene but did ok with synthetics. Hopes this helps.
