Adderall IR Question? Taking one pill. Then spacing out dosage of second.?
I've recently started taking birth control pills: Levora (the generic brand of Nordette). I have only been taking it for a week. I never had skin problems before birth control, but recent side effects include cystic acne (which i, repeat, NEVER experienced before starting birth control). I know birth control HELPS certain people w/ skin problems, but in my case it's worsening my skin. I have been told that it takes approximately 3 months for my body to fully regulate the new levels of hormones that birth control introduces, so I'm hoping that my skin will go back to normal after 3 months..but still feel nervous.Has birth control made you break out? And how long did it last? I know side effects of birth control are different for everyone, but I'd love to hear about your personal experiences with this particular side effect. Thanks!

Recently started birth control pills, it's making my skin bad. How long until your skin clears?
I've had allergic reactions to many BC pills before, particularly generics from Barr Laboratories, such as Apri, and others. I would be unable to breathe and would get rashes when I took these generic pills. My doctor at my old college suggested that I might have been allergic to some of the inactive ingredients used in these pills, so I was always prescribed name brand Ortho Cyclen. Recently, I discovered that I should not be taking estrogen, due to a medical concern that my doctor identified. I did thorough research because of my prior allergies and decided I'd like to go on Ortho Micronor, a progestin only pill -- made by the same company that makes Ortho Cyclen, which I was not allergic to. My regular doctor could not see me for 2 months so I was assigned to see a midwife at my school. She flat out refused to prescribe the name brand and prescribed Camila. CAMILA IS NOT EVEN THE GENERIC FOR ORTHO MICRONOR! It's the generic for Nor-DQ! It's not the medication I asked for, and she refused to comply.I ended up crying in the pharmacy over this, because every time I take pills from this company I experience trouble breathing. I'm honestly terrified to take this pill and I told the pharmacist that this is NOT the pill I asked for. He pulled out his iPhone and looked up the pill because he knew nothing about it. My Rx slip is specifically for Camila so they won't substitute it, not even for its own name brand. It will take me months to get another appointment and seeing the same midwife won't help. What should I do? Since I haven't tried this one yet the midwife refuses to consider a possible allergy and says I have to wait for a reaction to occur. I feel like a guinea pig. My insurance covers the name brand. I pay an extra 500 a semester for name-brand Rx coverage. The pharmacy told me they don't stock Ortho Micronor and won't order it. If I go to an outside pharmacy, my insurance won't cover it either. I am tired of messing with my health and I just want a doctor to take my concerns seriously because I've had prior severe reactions. Please, any advice would help! What should I say to the pharmacy? Who should I call?

Prescribed the wrong pill and really upset. What should I do?
I was just prescribed YAZ and wasn't informed of the cost, i have heard it is expensive and was wondering how much it will cost for 3packs. There is a generic brand now so hopefully it is cheaper. Let me know! Thanks

How much does YAZ Birth control pills cost in Canada.?
So i went to the dr this past friday bc my ear felt clogged and i cant hear out of it all the way. My right ear that is...well he claims there was not much wax and that he han seen some fluid around or behind the ear drum! I am pregnant and due this wed the 12th, well he gave me a pill to take called Cefdinir. Its generic for Omnicef. Well i started that friday and today (monday) my ear pops here and there and i get a lil wax coming out but not alot of draining! So i was wondering if i took E.R.O kit from walmart to suction out what wax there is or might be hiding would it do any damage? I am just tired of not hearing now for almost 2 weeks! Does anyone have any advice or tips of how to get my ear to pop open??

Is it Safe to suction out your ear if you have an ear infection?
I've had it for about 5 years and a few months. I've handled the hives fairly well for three of those years with benadril, but the antihistamine in it made my life, well, a living hell. Groggy 24/7, lost track of reality for a bit, which is not the thing to do in middle school and the beggining of high. I switched to claritin, then to another generic form of claritin (loratadine tablets). Taking one pill a day isn't much of a hassle, but it doesn't always work for 24 hours, and I'll run out, or whatever. I personally despise limitations like this on me, so it sucks. My meds keep becoming ineffective. And I erupt in full body hives, so there's no hiding it (people tend to notice always wearing long sleeve shirts and wincing every time you put your foot on the ground). The itching is so bad it's turned into honest to God pain for me.Does anyone know anything that might help? I've heard rumors that it can progress well into life too. Also I've heard of diet changes sometimes helping, but idk what to try. My fitness levels have done a 360 during the intervening time, so it isn't quite diet and exercise that's effecting it. But is there something in the foods I'm eating, even though they are healthier foods, that could be causing this? I eat a lot of meat and protein, if that helps. Oh, and I'm 17.

How to deal with chronic urticaria?
im considering switching to the ring, because ive been forgetting to take my pill on time every night, plus i wont have to worry about it every day. So i have a few questions about it:How do you get it in? I know it goes up against your cervix but all i can imagine it doing is bending all over the place and not going in correctly. And do you get help inserting it? because i would probably just have my bf do it because its kindof an awkward angle for yourself. Can you feel it once its in? Because i know when i get my pap smears, its painful when she scrapes my cervix? Also, does it cost more than the pill? With my insurance, the brand names cost $25 whereas the generics cost $10.And does the nuvaring have a generic? or are there any other different brands that have a "ring"?thanks!

Ladies on NuvaRing? few questions?
My boyfriend and I met back in high school. We lost contact after graduation and about 6 months ago he found me on facebook. We really hit it off and became fast friends again and about 3 months later he invited me out with him and some of his friends. We were very comfortable around one another and we started talking. Last month we made things official and became a couple. The next night after we were laying in bed snuggling about to go to sleep and I noticed he had a hard on. He had a bunch of hard ons before this that I had noticed and we never done anything. we just made jokes and left it at that. This time we made a couple of jokes and he asked me if I wanted to touch it, so I did. After a few minuets he asked if I wanted to have sex. I said yes so he went into the other room and got a condom. Were both pretty inexperienced sexually and he said that one of his friends told him if you jerk off before you have sex you will last longer. I knew he was nervous about weather he would last long or be any good so I told him to go ahead and do it. After that we tried to have sex and he couldn't get it hard again. I figured it was just because he jerked off first and that was why. We waited about two weeks before we tried anything again. Since the the first try we have attempted to have sex twice with out him jerking off first ( we had learned our lesson there) and both times he has lost his hard on while doing foreplay. About two weeks before this he admitted to me that he was afraid of getting me pregnant even though I'm on the pill, were gonna use a condom, and he's gonna pull out. I assured him that was not something he needed to stress and worry about and that was that.I have asked him if he was still really nervous or anything about having sex with me after both failed tries because I know guys can have performance anxiety about that kind of stuff. He told me he's not nervous and he assured me more than once that it had absolutely nothing to do with me because it was starting to effect my self esteem so bad that I cried once. He is also on SMZ 960mg (Generic form of Bactrim antibiotics) so I'm wondering if maybe this could be the problem because he did start taking those the night before we tried to have sex the first time. He's only 24 so I think he is too young to have any medical problem like erectile dysfunction causing this problem.Anyone with any information that can help us is greatly appreciated.Any negative, rude, or mean comments will be reported or blocked.

My boyfriend can't keep a hard on, how can I help? (I KNOW ITS LONG BUT PLEASE READ)?
levothyroxin is a generic pill for synthroid and cymbalta is an antidepressant I take for fibromyalgia.

Does it really matter when taking birth control?
I need to be on birth control to help with my mood swings due to low hormone levels. I have been trying to lose weight for a while now, and was successful before the pill using the Atkins diet and exercise. As soon as I got back on the pill, which is Jolessa, the generic version of Seasonale, I gained about 5lbs back, and can't seem to get them off, along with the other weight that I was trying to lose. I often feel bloated, and seem to think that some of the weight may be water weight. Has anyone successfully lost weight while on the pill, and how did you go about doing it? Going off of the pill is just not an option for me. Any help greatly appreciated.I was on Loestrin 24 Fe before and I blame that paired with Zoloft for the initial weight gain. I was depressed and turned to eating for comfort. Pills do different things for different people, but the Loestrin did nothing but bad for me.
