Can tramadol or any other prescriptions such as vicadin show up as thc?

Elli

My fiance and I are totally against drugs, and I know he doesn't secretly smoke it, since we are both here 24/7. And yet as accordance to rules where we live we get randomly drugged test, and his showed up with THC in his system....so just wondering.

While normally the THC test would indicate the use of a cannabinoid, here are a list of the substances known to cause false positives on THC tests:Dronabinol (Marinol)Ibuprofen; (Advil, Nuprin, Motrin, Excedrin IB etc)Ketoprofen (Orudis KT)Kidney infection (Kidney disease, diabetes) Liver DiseaseNaproxen (Aleve)Promethazine (Phenergan, Promethegan)Riboflavin (B2, Hempseed Oil)If he was using one of these, it is slightly possible that he would get a false positive on a screen. If they did a confirming CGMS it would likely confirm whether or not he had used cannabis. He might be able to ask for a retest if he avaoids the use of these substances prior to the test.

If THC showed up in his test, he's been stepping out somewhere to smoke. Some people will say that being in contact with Marijuana smoke can cause THC to show up in urine, blood, or hair analysis--but that's been debunked. The only way for a test to show THC is if he's been actually smoking.Opiates (Tramadol and Vicodin) will show up as Opiates and Opiod derivatives.
