Would mixing 12000 mg of tylenol along with 100 mg of flexril and 750 mg tramadol be fatal?

Charita

And how long would it take for it to kick in?As in for the lethal dose to take effect?

Carlyn

yesterday you asked about the 750mg of tramadol and today you added tylenol and flexirl to the mix so I assume you are planning to kill yourself. i think you need to go to the emergency room and explain your feelings and then you can be directed to the proper facility which can handle your situation safely. i fear that if i answer your question you will make a bad decision so i just wish you the best and hope that you go to get help right away. by the way forget the 12000 mg of tylenol because someone who intentionally damages their liver is last on the transplant list or not on it at all.

Dessie

You may just kill offf ur liver (ur body only absorbs a certain amount of the Tylenol) and then u'll get put on a transplant list - if ur lucky. It's a slow and very yellow (jaundice) way to die.If you want to check out, there are much faster and more effective ways...

Candra

I hope you aren't thinking of taking your own life. My brother commited suicide 3 years ago and the effect it has on those left behind is incomprehensible. I hope if this is the case you will reconsider and try to find help.

How effective is tramadol for pain?

Belia

Got a prescription from the doc to take with my vicodin. Just wondering if it's good for pain? Thanks in advance.

Ericka

I have Spondilolthesis Ive been taking tramadol (ultram) for 8 months. Alone it's ok, 7 out of 10 but if your taking it with vicodin you should be right as rain....lol

Elane

It is good for mild to moderate pain and does work on the opiate receptors. I would try and limit the use of Vicodin though. You will build up a tolerace to this and over time it becomes less effective. I have seen too many people get into trouble with this. Good Luck.

Have you taken both percocet and tramadol for pain?

Fannie

Prescribed or otherwise, I don't care, what was the dosage and effects? I'm a little skeptical of my doctor I guess.

Josef

Tramadol is good, I've never taken Percocet. I can't take a lot of pain meds, and Tramadol is the one that works for me and I stick to it. 50mg is what I have, but sometimes I take an extra half. When you first start taking them, you will feel them 'kick' in and have a little 'lift' of a feeling for a bit. Once you are on them for some time, that feeling won't be as noticable. One thing I have noticed being on them is they tend to 'dry' you out. You will urinate less and want to drink a bit more. Other than that they work pretty good.

Denisha

Percoset makes me barf every time, about an hour after I take it - so I don't. I took Tramadol for a few weeks before I could go in for surgery a few years ago. It worked fine. I don't remember the dosage. One pill was enough.

Is it possible to od on tramadol?

Jennefer

or is it one of those you will just be sick drugs?

Alethia

Yes, Tramadol overdose is very dangerous and can be fatal. Symptoms of Tramadol overdose
are much like the symptoms of opiate overdose: lethargy, light-headedness, drowsiness, pin-point pupils, clammy or bluish skin, shallow breathing, slow heartbeat, irregular heartbeat, vomiting, seizures, passing out, coma. If you think someone may have overdosed on Tramadol, you need to call 911 for an ambulance immediately. Don't try to induce vomiting, and don't try to encourage them to walk it off -- they should stay still and wait for the paramedics to arrive. If they're unresponsive, lay them on their side so that if they vomit they will not choke.

Colleen

it is possible to od on ANY drug. like, you drink/ingest enough of anything, yeah, you can die.different drugs will have different amounts you would have to ingest, but if it is considered medicine or a drug, you can certainly od on it

Logan

if it is an opiate analog (pain pill) then yes , just like a junkie .

August

Absolutely and being it is a mind drug (A mild anti-depressant) the overdose can be deadly. STAY away from this shitty drug!

Is raw codeine andor tramadol sold overthecounter in greece?

Catalina

Codeine is not sold over the counter in Greece. In fact it is considered a controlled substance.

I don't know about raw codeine, but I know they sell codeine in over the counter tablets mixed with ibuprofen in pretty much every place except America.

Can tramadol be used as an injectable for dogs?

Geraldo

My dog is on Tramadol, but it's next to impossible to get her to take it. I know it can be injected in humans, can it also be injected in dogs?

Omer

Yes there is. Have you ever tried putting the tramadol in the middle of a hot dog? a scoop of ice cream? peanut butter? Injectable pain killers are alot more money than the pills. You should call your vet and talk to him about the options. You might be able to find something easier. Or cheaper that will do the same things.

Andree

its possible, but you would need to ask your vet.

Noble

Your vet is not going to give you an injectable drug.Liability reasons will prevent them from do it.Tramadol is bitter but dogs usually will eat it if its in a pill pocket.Pill pockets can be obtained at the pet store or your vet.Hiding it in cream cheese, butter or a piece of meat may also work but first try the pill pockets.

I took tramadol for very bad toothache now i am being sick?

Hildred

I only took 3 within a 12 hr period which is fine according to the instructions so i am guessing this painkiller does not agree with me. How long will it be in my system and how long will i be sick for.

Deshawn

Yes it is fine by the instructions, but tramadol is a strong analgesia, it is morphine based and Morphine tends to cause nausea. Therefore you could either try a different analgesia, or take some anti emetic (permitted only 3 times per day at 8 hourly intervals) It is not good to keep taking analgesia as it can constipate you however much you need, but you must treat the root of the problem, not just the manifestations. Try to get a dental appointment asap as you may have an abscess. The dentist will not extract the tooth immediately if this is the case, he will probably prescribe antibiotics until the infection is cleared. Some antibiotics may also cause nausea and/or drowsiness. I hope it is soon resolved.

Eduardo

Tramadol is a strong painkiller and can commonly cause vomiting. It should be out your system within 6-8 hrs. Try and get a rest/sleep.. don't take anything to drink for 1 full hour then start with small sips initially. For pain stick to paracetamol 2 tablets 4 x daily.. If your stomach settles and your not asthmatic then add ibuprofen 400mg three times a day for the pain.. Alternate the tablets so your getting pain relief every 4-5 hrs.. Have you called the emergency dental service in your area.. Even if your not registered with an NHS dentist in the UK many area's have access to emergency care for the immediate problem. Either call NHS Direct if your in England or Wales 0845 46 47.. NHS24 if your in Scotland 0845 4 24 24 24

Dick

Tramadol with it's SSI inhibiting properties and weak opiate has a total of a nine hour half life. This means if you took a 50mg pill nine hours later you will still have half that dose in you. Tramadol in my opinion is a horrible drug and it can cause all kind's of side effects. It is a opiate and it is a narcotic. THe sickness should subside in four hours.

Al

Depending on the type of Tramadol you took it can stay in your system for up to 24 hours, although if you've been sick there's a chance you've ejected it from your body already.I'm sometimes sick with Tramadol but only once and there are various other types which may agree with you, let your doctor know and he may be able to prescribe another version.

Concetta

I know that it is a very strong painkiller and best taken with or after food. My grandad used to take it for pains and he used to feel very sick and it gave him acid indegestion if he hadn't eaten. You need to drink lots of water to flush it out and next time maybe try codeine instead. It shouldn't make you feel sick for much longer.

Hunter

I had bad toothache, too. I dare not touch any medicine. Instead I brushed my teeth very careful and then applied Listerine Cool Mint to rinse my teeth. After that some water and rinse it again. It was all good.

Etha

Tramadol is pretty potent stuff, being an opiate analogue. Nausea and vomiting are not uncommon side effects. It's half life is about 7 hours, so the side effect should not persist for long.

Candra

Are you sure you were supposed to take that many? I know prescriptions are individual, but mine says one every eight hours. I would never take that much. Have you eaten?

Alyce

It might not be Tramadol that is making you sick.

I was prescribed tramadol and have been taking percocet for a recent shoulder surgery will this help?

Scottie

after having taking percocet for my shoulder will tramadol have any affects?

Jenny

Is the percocet for breakthrough pain? Usually tramadol will do the trick for pain I don't understand why you have to take two painkillers. Why is the dr. prescribing percocet is this to take the place of tramadol? Or are you taking both? Take care these are two powerful painkillers. Usually one will take care of the problem. Check with your dr on any medical advice given.

Dotty

Are you planning on taking them both or only one to replace the other? I take Lortabs for pain but also take Lyrica which is an inflammatory.Tramdol is an inflammatory so maybe your Dr is giving it you to for swelling or inflammation, but gibing you percocets for pain? However they would be ok to take together but I don't think one will replace the other

Will it hurt a person to take tramadol while taking methadone?

Christena

methadone is a narcotic blocker. tramadol is not a narcotic, but is used for pain

Janelle

I wouldn't do it. I know they're both pretty powerful and both mood altering. I know that junkies use both so I would not combine them together, you really shouldn't need to. Methadone is usually used when someone is trying to get off drugs. Tramadol may not be a narcotic and may not be controlled but it probably should be as it definately alters the mood.

Emil

should be fine. is a narcotic tho.. a U-opiate agonist. tramadol isnt an antagonist at all so it wont put u in withdrawal.. be careful man. there is no interaction besides being really drugged up... its funny, cuz i was in ur situation like 5 years ago and had a ton of it and didnt know if i could.. i was scared it was an antagonist... never ended up taking it.. and luckily i dont take anything now.

Is it ok to taper off vicoden with tramadol?

Duncan

I need to get off vicoden, I've been on it for 2 years for chronic neck and lower back pain. Is it OK to take tramadol instead? I heard its not really a narcotic and it helps with the pain. I'm in pain most of the time and when I try to stop the vicoden I usually just give in to the pain. If anyone has any other suggestions, I would gladly try anything....

Aracely

Tramadol works wonderful for coming off of vicodin. I have done it myself. Tramadol is non- narcotic but it still acts on the opiate receptors. Therefore you will hav great pain relief and no withdrawal pains. Good luck!!

Adah

I like to start out with a Wikipedia definition.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TramadolI agree with the previous answer. Tramadol is misunderstood, and sad to say, it is addictive. I have taken several different pain medications, and Tramadol is one of the most unique. The transition to Tramadol would be a good discussion to have with your doctor, it involves weeks of transitioning, depending on the length of time you have taken opiates, in your case two years, which is a lengthy period, and this will require special attention. I personally love Tramadol for my pain. It is long lasting. It is not as popular among street users because large doses will cause seizures. It is also a wait for it,wait for it kind of pill. The effects of it are present, but the pain relief and mild euphoria takes a while to present itself. It will elevate your mood because of the SSRI properties that it contains. I am not sure why this drug was formulated this way, some research shows that it was supposed to be the ultimate happy pill. Consult your doc, and I wish you the best.

Ivette

Why don't you talk to a real expert. I am sure that none of the other answers have has 8-12 years of medical training. I am sure none of them have had any experience in anesthesiology. I haven't either, but I am sure your doctor has.If you try to do this on your own you take a big chance that your pain level goes up. You take a chance that any drug test you might have to take in the future you would fail unless all the meds are from legal prescriptions. I know that sometimes it gets real frustrating, especially with all of the bad press about drugs. I have been on narcotics for pain for 18 years. I presently have a pain pump installed under my skin, and it works great. am not saying you should get one, but you should talk to your doctor and follow his advice. If you think he is wrong, and he could be, find another doctor for a second opinion. Your entire future is resting on your decision. I hope you make the right one for you.pp

Rigoberto

Tramadol is a perfectly good pain med and it might be appropriate for your situation depending on the reason you're discontinuing the vicodin. There are plenty of good pain meds available and a good doctor will review the pros and cons with you. If you want to go completely non-narcotic there are medicines like diclofenac (a personal favorite) and celebrex. But don't think you're going to find one that doesn't have side effects, some being quite dangerous in certain situations. Tramadol is sometimes a good choice because it doesn't contain acetaminophen which can wreck your liver with long term use.

Angila

Tramadol is a synthetic opiate with SSRI properties. (It is a very misunderstood and understated medication). At any rate,.. you are in pain, and are in need of relief. You need to speak with your doctor and talk to him about managing chronic pain. Using short acting opiates, like hydrocodone, is *not* appropriate treatment for chronic pain. It is intended for short term, acute pain. In fact, using short term opiates often (over time) causes hyperalgesia -- (an increased sensitivity to pain) which then complicates matter more due to the individual not being able to accurately gauge their *true* level of pain.Ultram in place of hydrocodone is 'ok' -- but you need to keep it in the recommended dosages per day. However, be aware -- tramadol/ultram can and does cause dependence as well. It isn't like ibuprofen or acetaminophen.. it does have properties that can cause dependence and even addiction in susceptible individuals. As I mentioned above, this is really something you need to discuss with your doctor -- your treatment and management of your chronic pain should be much better handled. There are many varying methods to treat spinal pain.. look into the options available.

im just afraid because of my abortions and tramadol use will affect my chances of having a baby, although i havent reaaly tried im just scared i really want more kids.

You'll need to lay off the tramadol. There are safer (and stronger) pain killers that are available for TTC/pregnant women to use. Examples Lortab, Darvocet, Tylenol #3.Abortions should not affect your ability to conceive nor carry a child, if they were done by professionals and in first trimester.

Chanell

You can't take the tramadol while pregnant so you need to address that first. My friends mothers has been in with drawl from it and a true mess. For a suppossedly non addictive drug it really hooks some people.

I have been taking 2 tramadol pills daily for the now, first half of pregnancy. You really should discuss this with your ob/gyn. Some medications are very harmful during pregnancy. Just give them a call and they will tell you.

How often can i get my tramadol ultram prescription refilled?

Celestine

It is a non-narcotic pain reliever.

Ming

It depends on your insurance coverage. How often do you need it refilled? Are you following your doctor's prescription? If you are then it should be a non-issue since that information is put into the pharmacy system and your insurance company sees it. The time I spent working in retail pharmacy, I've seen plenty of patients abuse their medications, particularly pain. Those are the medications that get lost, stolen, or the doctor changes the dose midway through without writing a new script. The pharmacy personnel have to do a lot of work and it's frustrating when you think you are being lied to by the patient. How often can someone's dose be changed or lost? I would follow the prescription. If you are going on vacation then you can get an additional refill usually or a supply to cover your vacation. Tell the pharmacy staff so they can get the authorization from your insurance company. It will save them time and aggravation. More importantly, it will save you time and aggravation. If you have any problems with the medication or it's not working like before then speak with your doctor and if he recommends taking more than before, ask him to call in a new prescription for you. Tell the pharmacist that your doctor has changed the prescription and he should be calling in a new prescription for you. The pharmacy team will help you because we want patients to get their medication when they need it. But we do see a lot of fraud, unfortunately. It impedes our efforts.Generally, you are given a week before your Rx runs out to refill it. If you go 5 days before you are to run out then that should be perfect. You then don't have to wait for it to be filled and can pick it up the next day if you want to.

Brunilda

Some doctors will give you 3-5 months worth of refills.

Milissa

It should say on the bottle...next refill before 'such and such' date. It also depends on your insurance company (if you have insurance). Additionally, your doctor determines how often/how much (the quantity) you may receive per/month generally speaking.

I just took 50mg of tramadol (one pill)Is it safe for me to take another one??Yup, im using it recreationally. And please, can I only have real answers? I did not come here for life lessons.

Kasi

I've taken four before but I had a bit of a tolerance built up. You can take another one but you'll probably fall asleep or nod off. Don't get addicted, I was starting to.

Hans

it depends on the person's body , if u r overweight take 400 mgs , if u not take 250\300 mg's as a miximum , after one hour smoke a good joint , and you'll be telling me THANK YOU :p , you'll get strong euphoric effects , but please dont get hooked on this because tramadol addiction is not a joke

Chun

Recreationally ? Really? Tramadol? Why not Tylenol the risk of seizure is less and the buzz would be the same NONE ! I mean come on tramadol sucks it does nothing except possibly kill u with no fun in the process.... I have a huge bottle of them right here and they will probably be in the trash on Monday I wouldn't have bothered to fill it had I been paying attention... But my question is why not smoke pot or drink it's safer and provides an actual buzz....

How effective is tramadol compared to hydrocodone?

Cathey

Had wisdom teeth pulled out and am now out of hydrocodone but have some tramadol. Is it about the same strength or would taking tylenol or something else be better. Was taking 5/500mg of hydrocodone/APAP every 4 hours.

Bree

Tramadol and Hydrocodone both work on the same receptors in the brain to block pain. In my opinion Tramadol is just as good for pain. The only difference between the two that I have found is that Tramadol does not give you the euphoric feeling that hydrocodone does. Tramadol is more likely to cause seizures though, so you might want to be careful with that. Also, do not take these two medications together.

Alesia

If you are still in a lot of pain you should contact the responsible surgeon and get more hydrocodone. Tramadol might help. It's pretty much an individual response. Hydrocodone is more reliable than tramadol but it might meet your needs perfectly. Never the less, the doctor needs to keep you supplied with medication if his/her work is causing you pain.

Clyde

I agree with both of the previous answer's to some extent. For wisdom teeth, I would say 50mg of Tramadol every 6 hours with 2 Extra Strength Tylenol 2 hours after each dose of Tramadol. That means 200mg daily and a couple thousand mg's of Tylenol until the worst of it subsides. I get more euphoria from Tramadol then Hydro's because I grew a tolereance to traditional opiates. Tramadol is not at all traditional, its a unique pill. I suggest you ask your doctor, but Tramadol works great for me, but its just not as popular with pill seekers.
