Is the percocet for breakthrough pain? Usually tramadol will do the trick for pain I don't understand why you have to take two painkillers. Why is the dr. prescribing percocet is this to take the place of tramadol? Or are you taking both? Take care these are two powerful painkillers. Usually one will take care of the problem. Check with your dr on any medical advice given.

Are you planning on taking them both or only one to replace the other? I take Lortabs for pain but also take Lyrica which is an inflammatory.Tramdol is an inflammatory so maybe your Dr is giving it you to for swelling or inflammation, but gibing you percocets for pain?However they would be ok to take together but I don't think one will replace the other

I stopped using tramadol cold turkey (after heavy use for about a month) about 3 and a half weeks ago and I have no more actual withdrawals but I still feel severly depressed. I was not nearly this depressed before I started using tramadol. The week after I stopped I had thoughts of suicide, the depression was so bad. So how much longer is this depression supposed to last? Anyone have any insight on this?

Tramadol is an opiate painkiller that is a derivative of heroin. It is a very difficult addiction to break, which is why so many people stay hooked. I'm not saying you are addicted, but it sounds like physically you were dependent upon the drug.The acute withdrawal usually lasts no more than a week, but mentally can last much longer. There is what is called PAW (post acute withdrawal) which for long-term users can last up to a year. Since you were only using a month, I would say you should start feeling better very soon.Basically you are flooding your system with a drug that makes you feel good. Your body gets used to it and needs it to feel normal. When you remove that, things get thrown out of whack.Congrats on quitting and good luck to you. It will get better, I promise.

My husband & I are having a discussion about this (don't know how we got on it). I guess in Tijuana, Mexico they sell tramadol without a prescription. Is it illegal to take it over to border back to California?? I think it is & he says it isn't. Will customs be upset if you do take it back? If you just go ahead & declare instead of trying to sneak it, is it okay to take it over the border?? Please settle our argument =)

I gues the safest thing is to call U.S. customs nd ask the question before. As of what i know is that you can take amounts for your personal consumption.I am Mexican, i don't know if the same rules apply for US Residents.
