Taken tramadol 400mg and feel really sleepy will taking clonazepamkolonapin make me less sleepy?

I took Tramadol 400mg about 3 hours ago and the only effects i have is i am getting really sleepy. If i take clonazepam[kolonapin] will it help by making me not sleepy anymore? I read somewhere its hard to fall asleep while on kolonapin thats why i ask.

Not likely! It may even make you even more sleepy. Contact your doctor and see if you can get the Tramadol dosage cut in half to start out on and slowly increase the dosage as your body adjusts to it. The best way to know if a med is going to make you drowsy or not is to look at the warning stickers the pharmacist places on the bottle of that particular med or even by calling the pharmacy and asking the pharmacist if you still have doubts.

Is it safe for my husband to take tramadol if hes on paxil or itraconazole?

My husband has Histoplasmosis and is taking Itraconazole for the treatment. The ER doctor just prescribed Tramadol for pain in legs.

When you go to fill the prescription, talk to your Chemist about all the medications your husband takes. The Chemist is your best resource for this type of question. Also ask if your husband should avoid any foods, like grapefruit for example. Some medications are affectly badly by grapefruit.

The pharmacy will give you the best answer. I think they can be co-administered. It never hurts to get the opinion of a pharmacist. And the previous answer was actually right on the money when it comes to grapefruit. It actually causes a mild interaction with Tramadol and several other meds.

What is a 50mg tramadol equal to in hydrocodone?

My doctor just gave me some 50mg Tramadol tabs to try and he said they were equal to Hydrocodone. He wasn't very specific though, so I was curious as to what MG of Hydro it would be. If anyone knows, I would appreciate the information. Thanks!!

5 mg is the normal lowest dose of hydrocodone, and this would be similar in strength to 15 - 25 mg of tramadol. So 10 mg of hydrocodone is equal to 50mg of tramadol

The answer is correct except you will have more side effects with vicodin as tramadol is an anti-imflammatory mostly not a narcotic like hydrocodone.

Tramadol is a derivative of Morphine. That means it is similar to heroin. Taking this drug on a regular casual basis could lead to some form of addiction.Try something else instead.

Tramadol or vicodin what is the best for pain relief?

My moher, who suffers from osteoarthritis has recently been told she can now no longer take any voltarol or coproxamol as it is affecting her kidneys. She has now been prescribed tramadol but is a little fearful with all the side affects and worried about its addictability. Would Vicodin be better or a similar type of drug, or do you have any better suggestions please.

Coproxamol has been off the market for several years in the UK. Vicodin is another illogical mix of hydrocodone and paracetamol, it is not available in the UK. Tramadol is a reasonably potent opiate analogue with a fairly low potential for addiction.

I was on Tramadol when I had Glandular Fever and had Migraines with it.It was very good at managing the pain, but I found that it just knocked me out more than dealt with the pain. Though when I would wake up the pain would be bearable.You mother really needs to speak to her doctor about this.I think Tramadol would be less addicting, though both of them are addictive drugs. Again this is something her doctor can answer for her.

There are people who respond well to Tramadol and those who don't feel anything. For me, Tramadol rocks. I love them. They make me feel real good (high), and not all spacey like Vicodin. I am 28 and have a knee replacement from arthritis. My doctor has no problem at all prescribing me Tramadol. I don't know if my doctor would prescribe Vicodin. Doctors are VERY weary about Vicodin for osteoarthritis. It is very addictive.
