I have ADD and i take adderall. I know it's an appeitite suppressor which is the main reason why it's used as a diet pill, but i think it might increase metabolism too. From what i know, adderall can mimic adrenaline or something to that effect. When your adrenal glands respond to stimulus such as fear, they produce epinephrine (which i think is the same as adrenaline or closely related), and the epinephrine stimulates the metabolism of stored glycogen in the liver. So would it speed up metabolism in general or is it much more complicated than that and there are all sorts of variables?thanks

Every time I get my period, the first day is miserable and has been for the last 6 years since I first got my period. First, it starts out with some bad cramps, then my stomach hurts and I have diarrhea. Once I feel like I have to "go", I start to get very warm and start sweating to the point where I need to have ice water, and times where I have stripped down and jumped in an ice cold bath. I then become very weak, and cannot even hold myself up while sitting down. I cannot even hold a cup of water. I start to shake and can barely talk because I'm so weak. It feels like my blood pressure has dropped low. I have tried to walk during this stage and have hurt myself trying to get help from someone else near me. Sometimes my ears ring and I can't really hear for a minute or two. This whole process takes about an hour from the time I first really start feeling the cramps. Almost every single time its almost exactly the same. I know what to expect now. I take midol multi symptom and lay down in the fetal position, where I pass out for about two hours, and then just have "regular symptoms" of a bad period (bad cramps, headache, backache, fatigue, stomach cramping, irritability, bloating, etc.). There have been 4 times where I have passed out before getting to a point where I lay down or find someone and not remembered how I ended up on the floor. One time I was taken to the hospital after I had passed out for about 45 minutes and woke up naked on a cold hard floor, but the doctor jokingly told me that I "pooped too hard" laughed, and wrote it off as gas and recommended no treatment. I didn't find that too funny because I find this serious. Barely anything "comes out" when I have to "go" during the beginning part of this process and I do not strain. I don't have the strength to do anything. This has become very debilitating and I really want another opinion because this isn't just "gas". I had another episode today and its the last straw. I told my obgyn and she put me on ibuprofen, which didn't do anything that the midol didn't (the midol worked better). Then, she put me on 3 different birth control pills, all of which made me nauseous and vomit on a daily basis and could not stand to take more than a day or two of each. I am anemic. Not too bad, but changing my diet to add more iron did not change anything with this situation. Please help me! This has become very debilitating and the doctors that I have told write it off as pretty much nothing. I can't do this anymore. What could this be? How can I get rid of this? If it is just complications from menstruation, how can I treat this so I don't get those symptoms beyond what is considered "normal"?

and i am drinking over 100 ounces of water a day (i started the diet yesterday..but have been drinking the 100 ounces of water for 3 weeks now).i am staying under 800 calories for the first week( consisting of 3 apples and then dinner), then will gradually go up to normal calories i need.i run up and down 4 flights of stairs 3 times a day and walk around Alot! i woke up this morning and lost 2.5 lbs( not sure if its water weight as ive been drinking ALOT of water).but does this sound sensible to lose 10 pounds this week?

Long story made short. I am 21 years old 153 pounds and 5 feet 3 inches, very active, healthy, athletic and fat. Family promotes healthy eating. I run 3 miles (at the same pace) one morning and the next morning I power walk 3 miles. I eat fist size meals, and I know about sodium, trans fats, calories, sugar, and all that fun stuff. I have tiered healthy dieting, I have tiered starving, I have tiered healthy dieting with diet pills and starving with diet pills. Oh yea I also work out at night for two hours. I do a 30 minutes cardio warm up then one day I do upper body along with abs and the next I do lower body. You can tell that I work out I am full of energy and tone. Yet I am still fat, I can grab a handful of fat, which depresses me because I work so hard. I have incredible self-control and dedication. I have trained my friends at the gym and I have made them eating plans… the ones who actually follow my instructions look very pretty and have such a good bodies. Then I look at the mirror and I am still a size 11 and I still shop for size Large. I been to my doctor and I am healthy, I had a trainer and he says I am fit, I had a nutritionist and i believe I know how to eat properly. I believe I am going into a depression and seeking help from anyone who might have had this problem and found a solution to getting rid of this nasty fat I call my back boobs and my rolls. I weight 153 and I am 40 inches around the stomach area): its not in my head its actual fat. Yes I consume plenty of water my 8 glasses every day. Genetic wise, my mom’s family is thin or alethic… my dad’s family are all shapes and sizes… my dad is built and my mom is thin. Please help me.

Is this diet healthy enough for me to lose at least 1-2 pounds a week? Should I add or take something out?

I am overweight and have been ever since I can remember. I am a pretty healthy eater (I am a vegetarian, don't eat fast food, and never fry anything. Grease makes me gag and upsets my stomach). I can't exercise because my grandmother wants to make my life miserable and won't let me get a gym membership (even though she's fatter than I am and hates herself). I would go get one myself but I wouldn't have a ride to the gym. Lately I have been eating a fairly large amount of food, but this has only been in the past few weeks. I normally eat practically nothing and I eat lots of fruits and veggies but I can't lose weight. I have two thyroid diseases but I take medicine for them and my THS levels are where they should be. Are there any diet supplements or safe diet pills I can take? I'm 17 btw. Thank you, and please no nasty comments. I've been struggling with this for a long time.
