My best friend has recently undergone a surgery and has been prescribed tramadol hydrochloride (50 mg) capsules. But he also intakes opium. so can it increase the effecs of opium?

Since tramadol is non narcotic I'm guessing the docs already knew of your friends opium use and thats why they prescribed such a crappy pain med.

ide consult a pharmacist about drug interactions... but it is never safe to mix when one of the things he is taking isnt prescribed by a doctor
