It it safe to take oxaprozin and tramadol at the same time?

Ela

I'm in chronic pain which is why I'm on Tramadol. I am also on Amoxicillin and Oxaprozin. Is it safe to take all three at the times they say on the bottle? Or should I take them separately? Here's the info:Amoxicillin-500MG (1 Capsule twice daily)Oxaprozin-600MG (2 Tablets every day)Tramadol-50MG (1 Tablet three times daily as needed)

Yes...it is relatively safe, but I agree that you should always check with your pharamacist on things like that...they can pull your whole list of medications and run a drug-drug interaction profile on them. Tramadol (such as Ultram) is an opioid agonist (means it binds to the receptors of the pain in the brain) while Oxaprozin (such Daypro) is an anti-inflammatory...means like celebrex / advil ... and works on the inflammation part of pain...as long as you don't drink while on those medications and not mix them with over the counter stuff such as (Advil - Ibuprofen..) you should be OK.Once again, check with your pharamacist or doctor when in doubt. Dude, this question is best answered by calling Walgeens or CVS. My thing is opiates. I could look it up, but you could call and find out easier on the phone. Personally I think it is okay, it might not be. Example Methadone cannot be mixed with Cipro so ask the man.

Amoxicillin is penicillin, that makes me sick by itself. The other two don't seem harmful, but feel free to call the pharmacy to make sure like the others said.

You are trying to mix an antibiotic,NSAID,and an Opioid which is completely fine. You can call the pharmacy but Tramadol is prescribed with NSAID's all the time and Amoxicillin is not a factor at all.
