The half life of tramadol is 5-7 hours[2]. so 24 hours after taking tramadol you will have 6.25 of the dose left in your system. As you appear to have been clean for 3 years before your back problem it is likely that you wouldn't go into the same withdrawal you experienced 3 years ago.

You really can't inject the other ingredients in any sort of pill or capsule without risking serious harm to yourself. Flesh eating disease for example! :)Getting opiates out of pills depends on different factors. If the opiate is very soluble like codeine (tramadol I believe is) you can use that to extract it... eg crush, dissolve as best you can in warm water (not too hot!), cool & evaporate so most other material solidifies, filter.There is also a way using weird things like ammonium chloride, calcium hydroxide, and I forget... umm it's complicated! Check out alt.drugs.hard at google groups for more useful advice.Many pills containing opiates however have a waxy substance in them specifically meant to stop you from being able to extract things... I doubt Zydol does, but if it does that would complicate things. It's still possible but you'd need alot more chemistry knowledge than I'm guessing you have.

I was in a car accident and was prescribed it, and when my script ran out I started having severe withdraw (hot and cold sweats, vomiting, insomnia, etc.). Yes. The Tramadol is for the pain and the flexeril is to relax the muscles and hopefully to ease muscle spasms. I have taken the same combination of drugs for myback troubles for years. Hydrotherapy is also something you should consider doing if you have access to a good physio centre. Facet Rhizotomy is also really good if its suitable for you...why not ask your Neurosurgeon or pain management doc.actually....I am pretty sure you can take the two pills togeher as they are for different things. If they were both the same sort of drug then you would not have been prescribed them. Just stay home when you first start them so you know how you react to them...sometimes you might get sleepy from the flexeril or tramadol. Tramadol made me really nauseous at first (Itake the extended release ones). I hope you get relief for your back.

Well, your only choice is treatment of some sort. Granted, vicodin and tramadol are VERY weak opiods, but either way you will experience withdraw symptoms, such as insomnia and the squirts. Being they are weak pain killers, I would just do it cold turkey. In about week and a half all your withdraw symptoms should be gone. O.K. first of all don't do it. I just want to clarify that 100 tylenol PM's and 20 tramadol's will kill you instantly, it won't take six months. Tramadols will cause you to have a seizure and and the Tylenol will cause you to have liver failure. I started to take less as the pain decreased but it had horrible side effects. I was so addicted to them I got the shakes and couldn't sleep at all. Then last year I was prescribed the same again under a different generic name; not realising what they were I had a repeat of what had happened. They are a great pain killer but I'd seriously advise staying away from them,I take tylex now, which are a mixture of 500mg paracetamol 30mg codeine in each capsule. I find they work great and yes even though the codeine is slightly addictive, its not a fraction as bad as the tramadol.

After suffering with back pain for ages I can tell you there isn't anything like getting the muscles released, it took care of all my pains. I have compressed discs in my back so I was in lots of pain and nothing I did or took made them go away until I did the releasing of them. Here is what I did to get rid of the pain in my back:Back: (do from a sitting position)Place your left hand on your left leg next to your body. Place your right hand over your left shoulder and find the muscles next to your spine and press on them and hold. After 30 seconds slowly lower your body forward and to the outside of your left leg, keeping your left arm fairly straight as you do. When you reach your lap remain there for another 10 seconds, release the pressure but rest there for another 30 seconds. Then reverse your hand positions and do your right side.

Like said earlier m8y - see your doctor. But while you are at home do this - it worked for me until they found scar tissue growing on the nerve in my spine. Fix a bar between two walls and just high enough to be out of reach. Once the bar is secure you simply hang by your hands from it. Your spine will be straight and the pressure is released. It will make dogs drowsy usually. It is a good anti-inflammatory med. Safer to me than Rimadyl especially for a lab or golden mix. I would give it at least 1 - 2 wk to see how dog does. If you feel it isn't helping, call the vet & tell them.

Vomiting and gastrointestinal upset has been described with this medication, but it is more common to see sleepiness and dizziness. It is possible, if she is dizzy, that it could interfere with her equilibrium which could make her nauseous. I would definitely contact your vet who will likely do some bloodwork to make sure her liver or kidneys are not affected. An additional therapy that may be very successful with arthritic dogs is Adequan injections. Adequan is a substance that is naturally found in joint tissue and when it is given by injection, it goes into a joint and thickens the fluid so the bone is not scraping on bone as much (osteoarthritis). The injections are expensive but can be life-changing. I have seen tremendous success with multiple dogs. If you have financial difficulties, your vet may be willing to give you a discounted rate if you buy your own bottle from them and just come in for the injection. The best way to administer it is twice weekly for up to 8 injections then as needed to maintain comfort. Good luck to you - hope she feels much better!

Aize your one of the people like me that gets a strong euphoria from Tramadol. I have taken it for over a year maybe longer and it still has the same effect. I get a euphoric feeling 1-2 hours after that can last up to 6 hours depending on what I eat that day. I have taken Vicodin and all the usual opiates including semi-synthetic and synthetic opioids and this one is the most unique. Most people don't get any euphoria or pain relief from it but many people metabolize it like me in a different way and thus get the full benefit from this pill. My doctor gave me the choice of 120 Percocet a month or 120 tramadol and I chose Tramadol. Most people think that's crazy but it works better for me. The strong euphoria gets easier to deal with over time but I have never gotten a tolerance for it or took more then the four a day I am prescribed. Hope that helped.

Tramadol is a synthetic narcotic, meaning it's not on the same narcotic level as say hydrocodone or codeine. I have personally taken all three medications at different times for long periods of time. Tramadol is supposed to be less addictive, but I disagree. I was taking 50mg Tramadol and even though it is uncommon for ONE 50mg pill to cause extreme euphoria it is very possible. It is not as commonly abused as other medications but is still WIDELY abused because it does get you high. If you are getting euphoric like results from one pill I would suggest talking to your doctor about lightening you dose a bit. It can cause seizures. Tramadol is only good at small regular doses throughout the day. Maybe 50mg every four hours for maximum euphoria. Snorting it is a waste. The HCL will burn the crap out of your nose and you would have better success just chewing it up. Either way, its a stripped down analog of codeine, so don't expect much.
